WuruWuru Studios came to us with a story they wanted the world to see. A story with heart, vulnerability, and charm, but it needed to move, to breathe, and to come alive on screen. That’s where we stepped in.
At Madbox Studio UK, we brought the story to life through traditional frame-by-frame animation. Every gesture, every glance, every moment was drawn by hand, with our team focused on capturing the small details that make a story feel human.
The result was Hanky Panky, a short film filled with personality and honesty, brought to life one frame at a time. It went on to become a semi-finalist at the New York Animation Film Awards in 2023, a recognition that celebrated not just the story itself, but the craft and care poured into it.
For us, it was more than just an animation project. It was proof of what happens when collaboration, storytelling, and craft all meet in the same place.
